Holiday Mail for Heroes

Janice, one of my ladies who attends my card classes, suggested we participate in the Red Cross Program: Holiday Mail for Heroes this month. The bank where she works is involved. If you are not attending my class but would still like to participate; I've posted info on the program below. Your cards can be dropped off at any First Citizens National Bank by October 23rd. The card can be handmade or purchased. Here is a link to a list of local locations in Arlington, Bartlett, Millington, Collierville and Oakland.

Holiday Mail for Heroes
Supported by First Citizens National Bank and the American Red Cross

What it is
Holiday Mail for Heroes is an annual campaign in which the American Red Cross provides the community with the opportunity to send messages of thanks and holiday cheer to military members, veterans, fire fighters, law enforcement and other first responders. In this activity, individuals, families, organizations, churches and business can choose to make holiday cards or simply sign holiday cards that they have purchased.

How it helps
Sending holiday mail to military members, veterans and first responders is an easy, but meaningful way to give something that means something to our heroes. The cards are a great way for communities to express their gratitude.

How to Get Involved
Anyone can participate by making cards or simply signing purchased cards. Businesses, religious groups, community organizations, individuals, families and others can drop off their cards at any First Citizens National Bank from September 28 through October 23, 2015. Cards will be distributed in early December to Military Units, Veterans and First Responders throughout our community.

September's Stamp of the Month

I am really loving this month's Stamp of the Month, Paper Garden! It partners with the cricut cartridge Artiste to make stamping the images even easier! I created a few cards that were inspired by other consultants artwork (Jen Rubio, Georgia O'Shea and Donna Cosgrove). I also used our new watercolors on the first card. Make a qualifying order of $50 this month and get this stamp for $5!

September's Virtual Club Card Kit

I am starting a new club for those that are unable to attend my workshops at my house!

Each month I will design a card kit featuring a CTMH stamp set. Each kit will contain either a C or B sized stamp set, 4 projects that are pre-cut and individually bagged with embellishments needed and complete instructions with pictures. Any items that are embossed or cut from the cricut will be included as well. These kits will not be pre-stamped unless I happen to use a stamp from a set that was not featured. You will need to have a variety of adhesives, inks, markers and colored pencils to complete the kits.

You can order my kit month-by-month or you can sign up for 6 months. If you complete a full 6 months of kits then you will receive a gift FREE from me! You can choose a current paper pack OR a B sized stamp set OR and an ink pad!

Also, your club order ($20) will count towards the purchase of the stamp of the month or a monthly special.

Here's how it works:

Place your order and pay for this months kit by the 15th of the month or sign a 6 month contract and I will send you a pay pal invoice on the 10th - due by the 15th. The cost is $25 each month and includes taxes and shipping & handling. Kits will be shipped directly to you by the end of the month. Order for 6 months in a row and receive a FREE gift from me!

This month's kit uses the stamp set Positive Chemistry and features Zoe papers. Embellishments included Glacier Extra Thick Twine, Aqua Dots and Sparkles.I stamped in Black ink and used Shin Han Markers: Warm Grey, Light Orange, Leaf Green and Turquoise Blue.

If you are interested in purchasing this kit; you can send me a private message on my Facebook page:

I would also like to thank Close To My Heart Consultant, Dawn Montagano, for sharing her idea with me and others. Her generosity is much appreciated.
